I recently dined at Vitea Oceanfront Bistro located in Malecon. It's undeniably a tourist hotspot with somewhat elevated prices. Spending $80 USD on 3 cocktails, an appetizer, and 2 entrees might raise eyebrows, but the quality of the food was a redeeming factor. The service was truly exceptional, with our friendly and attentive server ensuring a delightful experience. We opted for margaritas during happy hour, benefiting from a 2-for-1 special, although the tequila's quality was not the best. The appetizer, nachos, impressed with its generous portion size, leaving us unable to finish the entirety. The shrimp tacos were a standout, expertly seasoned and packed with flavor. Personally, I found them to be the highlight of our meal. Equally enjoyable were the Baja Fish Tacos, boasting a perfectly battered texture and topped with a delightful slaw. The restaurant maintained a clean environment, extending to the restrooms as well. While the food and service were commendable, it's worth noting that the prices reflect the touristy nature of the spot. If you find yourself in the area, Vitea Oceanfront Bistro is worth a visit, but keep in mind the potential for higher costs.

Food is really good - the fish special was super fresh with very tasty cream sauce, and the cauliflower goat cheese appetiser was amazing. This place is more classy yet not pretentious. Great sunset views and warm service.

The food was even better than the pictures. 2x1 margaritas were on point, especially the mango. Service was excellent. Good spot to sit in front and people watch. A little pricey would be my only complaint. But you're getting good fresh food

Great meal, took a little longer than expected, had the red snapper, seafood fettuccine, burger/fries for the kiddo. Shoulda sat inside to avoid a couple persistent wasps but otherwise nice view. Saw a couple great street performers while we waited for food! Moderately priced but was really satisfying.

So we had a much different experience here. I'm guessing it was a translation issue. My wife ordered the beef tips and got frog legs, sent back with huge apologies, waited for her order to be made. Before that we ordered the Caesar salad and was amazed by the dressing. Wow, just wow. When we finished our meal we both loved what we ordered. Depth of flavor, rocked it. My wife asked for her leftover food to go. Oops, thrown away!!! But in the end they made her a half helping and saved the day.
